LeMaster-Bailey
The attractive country home of Mr. and Mrs. James H. Bailey, south of Peru in Washington township, was the scene of a lovely home wedding, when their daughter, Bernice, was united in marriage to Weldon LeMaster, son of Mrs. William LeMasters, south of Loree, at 4:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon. The house was beautifully decorated with ferns, gladioli and other cut flowers. Preceeding the ceremony, Mrs. Singer sang, I love you truly, accompanied by Miss Florence Larson at the piano. To the strains of Lohengrin's wedding march, played by Mrs. Singer, the bridal party descend the stairs, the music continued while the Rev. Arlington Singer, pastor of the Santa Fe Methodist church read the double ring ceremony in the presence of the immediate relatives and a few friends. Miss Alice LeMaster, sister of the groom acted as maid of honor and Earl Bailey brother of the bride was best man. The pretty young bride wore a lovely gown of beaver colored canton crepe, fastened with a three tiered skirt and trimmed in morice ribbon and carried a bouquet of pink roses. Miss LeMaster wore an exquisite gown of brown canton crepe and also carried roses and gladiolis. Following the ceremony a reception of a two course supper was served.
Mr. and Mrs. LeMaster then departed on a motor trip to Indianapolis, the Shades, Turkey Run, Mammoth Cave and points of interest.
Mrs. LeMaster is a graduate of the Bunker Hill high school and a very popular and attractive young lady. Mr. LeMaster is a very promising young farmer of Clay township.
The couple have the best wishes of their many friends.
