Mr. Frank J. Alesandro, age 69, of Utica, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 22, 2007, at St. Luke's Hosptal. He was born on July 18, 1938 in Utica, a son of the late Michael and Stella Handzel Alesandro, and was educated in local schools, having graduated from T.R. Proctor High School. On September 16, 1961 he was married to Barbara Stevens in St. Mary's Church in Clinton, NY, a blessed union of 46 years. Frank was dedicated employee for many years with the Carlo Massi Produce Co. Previous to that he was employed for a period of time with the Sal Caruso Cheese Co. Frank was a hardworking, devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather whose life centered around his family. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren, whom he took such pride in. His memory will forever live in their hearts. Surviving are his beloved wife, Barbara; four sons and two daughters-in-law, Michael and Mari-Rita Alesandro, Christopher Alesandro, Frank and Veronica Alesandro and Nicholas Alesandro, all of Utica; two daughters and a son-in-law, Anna Alesandro of Utica, and Tanya and Michael Feldman of Westmoreland; his cherished grandchildren, Ryan, Kristen, Michael Patrick, Alyse, Franky, Ronald, Marissa, Jesse, Alessandra and Arianna; one sister and brother-in-law, Victoria and Frank Rivers of FL.; his mother-in-law, Mary Agnes (Aggie) Stevens; one sister-in-law, Diane Nicotera of New Hartford; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. His funeral will be held on Saturday morning at 10:30 a.m. from The Scala & Roefaro Funeral Home, Inc., 1122 Culver Ave., and at 11:30 a.m. in St. Anthony of Padua Church. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
