Homer Allen Morgan

Homer Allen Moran, 79, died Sunday at Queen of the Valley Hospital after a long illness.
Mr. Morgan was born in Tennessee and came to California as a young man in 1931, moving to St. Helena. He worked for Mare Island Naval Shipyard during World War II. He married the former Iva Gray in 1934. He worked for Napa Milling for over 30 years retiring in 1969. He was a member of the Teamsters Union No. 490 in Vallejo.
Mr. Morgan's son Jack predeceased him in 1976.
He is survived by his wife Iva of Napa; one daughter, Peggy Martini of Napa; three sons, Robert Morgan and James Morgan of Lake County; and Donald Morgan of Adin; 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Napa Valley Memorial Gardens Mortuary with the Rev. Darrell Toby officiating. Private burial will be in the Napa Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be at the mortuary from 1 until 8 p.m. today. The family has suggested donations to the Queen of the Valley Foundation or the American Cancer Society.


Homer was the brother of Edgar, Owen Titus, Blanche, Martha Morgan Oliver, Luther Paten, Bernice Morgan Oliver, Flora and Maggie
