H. L. "Pat" Murchison, 70, a native of this area who attended schools in Enaville, died Thursday, Feb. 9, in East Shoshone Hospital, Silverton.

He was born October 7, 1913, on Pine Creek, the son of Simon and Nellie Murchison, and was a lifelong resident of this area.

He had worked as a miner for Wallace Diamond Drilling.

He was married March 14, 1940, in Bonners Ferry to Cornelia Verwolf of South Dakota.

Survivors include his wife, Cornelia, at the family home at Kingston; two sons, Harold Murchison Jr. of Pinehurst and Richard Lee Murchison of Woodinville, Wash.; a sister Mary Bauman of Spokane; a brother, Robert Murchison of Portland, 11 grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.

His funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, in the United Church of Kellogg with Roger Schlaefer officiating. Burial will be in Shoshone Memorial Gardens, Pinehurst. Shoshone Funeral Services of Kellogg is in charge of arrangements.

The family suggest memorials be made to East Shoshone Hospital, Silverton.
