A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

My mamaw, Josie, was born the second child and second daughter of Stroudie Meredith and Lizzie Saling. Her little brother, Lester died and she never accepted it and believed he was still alive when buried.

She married Ney Moutardier and had two daughters and two sons, Christine Lee, Douglas Moutardier, Sr., Georgia B Ford and Glendel Moutardier.

She was warm and wonderful and almost every other weekend, my mom and dad would go to Moutardier Boat Docks and I would rather stay with Mamaw. She would teach me many things, make quilts and go through the family photos with me. No one or nothing can ever take the place of my mamaw and I still miss her every day.

She never drove and lived alone for 24 years after my papaw died. I would spend weeks with her in the summer and one of the best memories would be when she would take me back far on the property to the spring that always had arrowheads and a story to tell. The water was so clear and cold and good.
