Inez was the daughter of Frank and Lula Burnett Pegoda. She shares a stone with her husband, Earl Elmer Jenkins, who she married on 25 May 1925.

OBITUARY: Palestine Herald-Press, Thursday, 23 May 2002:

Services for Inez Pegoda Jenkins, 93, of Palestine, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Garden of Memories Cemetery with the Rev. Floyd Peterson officiating. Arrangements under the direction of Bailey & Foster. Mrs. Jenkins died today at Cartmell Home for the Aged. She was born Nov. 8, 1908 in Huntsville to Frank and Lula Burnett Pegoda. Mrs. Jenkins was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church in Elkhart. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Jenkins Sr., in 1994; and a son, Wayne Jenkins. Mrs. Jenkins is survived by a son, Earl Elton Jenkins of Elkhart; sisters, Birdette Alexander of Huntsville, Charlene Gorman of Arlington and Erie Cotton of Corpus christi; a brother, Joe W. Pegoda of Houston; four grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren,. Pallbearers will be Harold, Denson, Wayne Curry, David Jenkins, Cody Jenkins, Jerry Pegoda and Ray Pegoda. Condolence calls will be received by the family from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
