Arlene Camilla Danielsen Clark was born Thursday, January 30, 1913 in Hyrum, Utah, the daughter of Henry Danielsen and Alice Laurene Jensen.
She married Garth Cyril Clark on May 13, 1933 in Logan, Utah. The marriage was later solemnized on January 24, 1977 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Arlene and Garth had three daughters: Renee Alice Clark, Sharon Beth Clark, and Beverly Jean Clark.
Arlene was a waitress at Scavo's Restaurant in Montebello for twenty years. She was a member of the Democratic Party.
In 1936, Arlene and Garth left Utah and lived in Southern California for the rest of their lives. From 1935 until ?, she resided at 5425 2nd Avenue in the Hyde Park district of South Los Angeles. From 1936 until 1938, she resided at 8925 South Broadway in the Broadway-Manchester neighborhood of South Los Angeles. From 1938 to 1944, she resided in Montebello Gardens. From 1944 until her death, she resided at 2543 Kurt Avenue in the City of Commerce.
Arlene passed away at 12:15 a.m. on Monday, July 28, 1975 at Rio Hondo Convalescent Hospital in Montebello after a battle with brain and lung cancer.
Graveside services were held on Thursday, July 31, 1975 in the Odd Fellows Cemetery located at 3640 Whittier Boulevard in East Los Angeles.
The following is Arlene's obituary, which was published in the Deseret News on July 30, 1975. It should be noted that an error was made. Doyle, Denver, Dean, Don, Larry, Shirley, and Margaret Ann were listed as Arlene's step-children. They are actually her half siblings.
