She is survived by her sons & daughter-in-law, Earl "Toot" & Earlyne Blanchard and Melvin Blanchard; daughters & sons-in-law, Nancy & Ezell Seaman, Jane Grudier, Betty & Wayne Swinney and Shirley & Richard Dean; daughter-in-law, Carolynn Blanchard; sisters, Lillian Evans and Juanita Wade of Missouri; twenty-four grandchildren and forty-two great grandchildren. She was one of the best people you would ever hope to know and always wanted you feel at home when you visited. Irene was also a great cook. Her rue for gumbo was spectacular! Her gumbo, dirty rice, and other Cajun dishes were favorites of her family and friends, who loved being with her for the holidays or anytime. What a genuinely good woman she was and so many people miss her!
