The funeral will be at 4 p.m. today at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, Lumpkin Road, Augusta, with Rev. Richard Rooks officiating. Burial will be in the Hillcrest Memorial Park, Augusta.
Miss Tharpe, a native of Augusta, was a self-employed beautician. She was a 1985 graduate of Hephzibah High School and a graduate of Augusta Beauty College.
Survivors include her parents, Mr Lynward Tharpe, Mrs. Ann Sloan Tharpe, and two brothers, Donald Lyn Tharpe and Michael E. Tharpe, all of Hephzibah. Pallbearers will be Keith Craft, Jason Hall, Steve Cains, Mark Brown, Darrell Groome and george Hall Jr.
