JACKSON, Jesse L. of 408 N. Loop, Austin. Age 55. Died 12/27/1947 (Sat.) in Brackenridge Hospital of head injuries received late Friday in a head-on automobile collision about 10 miles north of Austin. Services held (Sunday). Burial in Salty Cemetery.
He was BORN 10/10/1891 in Salty Comm. where he was reared. Also hurt in the accident was wife, Mrs. Jesse Jackson and son, Woodrow Jackson, a student at Lamar College in Beaumont, who was driving the car. Mrs. Woodrow Jackson and Wayne Jackson, another son, were released after reporting to the hospital Friday night.
