MICHAEL WILLIS HAGENMAIER We pause in loving tribute to Michael Willis, born April 25, 1948, the baby son of Arthur W. and Gladys L. Hagenmaier, at Christ's Hospital in Topeka, Kansas. The occasion of joy has been turned into one of sorrow, as this young life has come to an end. The angels of God have carried him into the presence of God, whose face the children's angels always may see. The young parents have had their hopes blighted, but we may say in sorrow, yet gratefully; "Safe in the Arms of Jesus." The Christian faith in Christ as Redeemer is their consolation now. Jesus gave His life for this little child, and the comfort of the hour is that He stretches out His hands and says, "Let the little ones come unto Me." He has taken this little one unto Himself, and will be the comforter of the parents. "Safely, safely, gathered in, Far from sorrow, far from sin, God has saved from weary strife, In its dawn this fresh young life; Now it waits for us above,Resting in the Saviour's love;Jesus grant that we may meet There, adoring, at Thy feet." A brief service was held at the Chelander-Eshbaugh Chapel at Randolph Saturday, May 1 at 2:00 p.m. Interment at the Fancy Creek cemetery. Pastor H. R. Sandberg conducted the service with a message based on Matthew 18:10. Mr. Reuben Nelson sang "Safely, Safely Gathered In," accompanied by Miss Beatrice Nelson. Mr. Joseph Eshbaugh and Pastor Sandberg bore the casket to its resting place.
