Deane Stanton was born on Nov. 17, 1897, and lived most of his life in this area. He was united in marriage with Dora Pfaff on Feb. 29, 1924, and she preceeded him in death on June 25, 1948. He is survived by one sister, Mrs. William Andrews, and eleven children, Levitt, Lucretia, Eugene, Louise, Amanda, Henry, Kenneth, Avada, Dale, Manis and Phillip. One other son died in infancy a number of years ago.
Mr. and Mrs. Stanton fought a brave but losing struggle against ill health for many years and their untimely deaths leave a large family of children to face the struggle of life alone. Although poor in material possessions, Mr. and Mrs. Stanton were held high in the esteem and respect of their neighbors and friends in the community.
