Roy Arlot "Barney" Cork died on June 19, 2007. He was 75 yrs old.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. June 30, 2007, at the Senior Center in Monument.
Mr. Cork was born on Sept. 5, 1931, in Kimberly to Roy and Ouida Cork. He married Anita J. Moore on Feb. 13, 1952, in Monument. They had three children. They raised their family in Prineville and then moved to Alaska in 1975.
Mr. Cork served in the Navy from 1951-1954 during the Korean War. He worked in construction and trucking most of his life. He most recently worked for his cousin, Chuck Morris, in construction.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time with family and friends, and especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and great-grandson, Jordan Matthew.
His ashes were scattered from an airplane over __?__ Creek.
