Phyllis June Babcock, 71, of Arkansas City died, Sunday, January 5, 2003 at the Presbyterian Manor Health Care Unit in Arkansas City.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at 1412 N 2nd St. on Thursday, January 9, 2003.


Phyllis was born February 16, 1931 to Lon & Lillian (Woerz) Stone in Arkansas City. She attended Arkansas City schools and the high school.

On March 30, 1948 she married Lloyd L. Westbrook in Arkansas City where the couple made their home. Phyllis worked at Matlock's I.G.A. and then as office manager at Ark City Glass for many years. After retiring, she was a foster grandparent at Adams Elementary School.



She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Yvonne Steadham; brother, Marvin Stone and sister, Norma Kelley.


Memorials have been established with Adams Elementary School and the First Southern Baptist Church Music Ministry. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
