JESS E. BOSWELL DIES; SERVICES ON WEDNESDAY.
Jess E. Boswell, 67, a long-time resident of Columbus, died Sunday night at his home, 2122 Third Street. He had been ill the last four years.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the McKown Funeral Chapel with the Rev. J. Allen Justad officiating, and burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the McKown Funeral Chapel after 1 p.m. Tuesday.
Mr. Boswell son of the late James and Lucy Ellen Blair Boswell was born March 21, 1892 at Moline, Ill. The family moved to Wymore, Neb when he was a boy and later coming to Independence, Kan. Coming to Columbus in 1915 Mr. Boswell married Isabell Warnick here on May 13th, 1916 and they lived in Columbus since that time.
In Columbus he was employed by the J.D. Hord Grain Company and Columbus Fuel and Storage.
He was a former member of the Eagles lodge.
Surviving are his wife; two sons, Adam and Duane, both at home; three brothers, John D. of Columbus, Oscar of Skidmore MO, Joe of Independence, Kan; three sisters, Mrs. Bertha Adam of Independence, Kan, Mrs. Cora Davis and Mrs. Anna Brase both of Henrietta, Okla.

Jess Boswell Funeral ---- Final rites for Jess E. Boswell, 67, were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the McKown Funeral Home with the Rev. J. Allen Justad in charge. Burial was in Roselawn Memorial Cemetery with pallbearers were D. C. Gammel, Carl Glur, August L. Rickner, William Semru, Emil Kulilek,. Out-of-town relatives and friends present were Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Long, St Edward: Oscar Boswell, Skidmore, Mo; Don Livingston, Independence, Mo.
