Yesterday—Christmas day—Mrs. Sarah M. Pratt, relict of the late Apostle Orson Pratt, died at the residence of her son Arthur, 105 B Street, Eighteenth Ward. The deceased had been afflicted for about ten years with rheumatism, which finally touched the region of her heart, terminating, as a matter of course, when that stage was reached, fatally. Mrs. Pratt has, we believe, resided in Utah since 1851, having arrived here about four years after the Pioneers, and was therefore well known in the community.

The funeral of the late Mrs. Sarah M. Pratt took place at the residence of her son Arthur, 105 B Street, yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock. There were many of the old friends of the deceased present, besides the members of her family and their friends. Rev. J. D. Thrall made a short address of a consoling nature to the mourners and appropriate music was rendered by a select choir. At the end of the services the remains were placed in the hearse and a long line of carriages followed them to their resting place in the City Cemetery. The pallbearers were Henry W. Lawrence, George Y. Wallace, Henry Miles, LeGrande Young, Ellsworth Daggett, Bolivar Roberts, H.P. Mason, and Joseph E. Caine.
