AUSTIN -- The funeral for Nora Josephine Distad will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Austin with the Rev. Harold Usgaard officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Hayfield.

Miss Distad, 98, formerly of 2903 Fifth Ave. S.W., Austin, died Tuesday (Feb. 1, 2000) at Burr Oak Manor in Austin where she had resided six days.

She was born Oct. 11, 1901, in Westfield Township, Dodge County, and attended an area school. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Hayfield until becoming a member of St. Olaf Lutheran when she moved to Austin from Hayfield in 1971. Before her retirement in 1967, she was a sales clerk at the Austin Bakery.

Survivors include a sister, Ruth Distad of Austin, and two brothers, Clarence Distad of Austin and Clifford Distad of Northfield. Three sisters and a brother preceded her in death.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday at Worlein Funeral Home in Austin and an hour before the service Saturday at the church.
