Age 90, peacefully passed away in Grapevine, TX on Wednesday, July 25, 2007.
He was born at the ranch in Vadito, NM to J.D. and Juanita B. Fernandez. Alfredo served his country in the United States Air Force in WW II. He worked for and retired from Sandia Laboratories with over 30 years service. Alfredo was a lifetime member of the Shrine of St. Bernadette, a founding member of the church. Alfredo loved the outdoors. He loved to fish and camp. He loved to dance. He was a wonderful father and grandfather. He will always be missed, and his love for his family will never be forgotten.
Alfredo is survived by his children, sons: Carlos and his wife, Maryann Fernandez, and Jaime Fernandez, both of Albuquerque, NM; and his daugh ter, Dolores Wold of Grapevine, TX.; four grandchildren: Rhiannon and husband Mike, Timothy, Matthew, and Lean dra. He is also survived by one brother, Joe Fernandez and wife Josie of Santa Fe, NM and one sister, Lala Fernandez of Albuquerque, NM; and numerous nieces and nephews. Alfredo is also survived by numerous members of Maria Fernandez's family.
Alfredo is preceded in death by his wife, Maria Fernandez; also three sisters and three brothers.
