John Haines gave you incorrect information on parents names for Otis Samuel Roberts on Feb 9 2012.
I have posted photo of Elk Monthly Meeting on memorial that has birth date that matches the memorial for Otis Samuel Roberts that has parents as Elihu Roberts and Sarah Roberts (Sarah Hart Stubbs).
This family is listed in 1880 census, Gratis, Preble County, Ohio - it has son "Otis Samuel Roberts" and parents Elihu Roberts & Sarah Roberts with more children matching those listed in the Quaker record. In the Quaker record it has "Samuel Otis Roberts" but in 1880 census it is "Otis S Roberts". not sure if birth date in record is 1863 0r 1865 - census estimates abt 1864 - what you think, see photo.
Samuel Otis Roberts is my 4th cousin 4x removed. The original surname is Roberds but many descendants began spelling it "Roberts". This line is descended from Quaker Walter Roberds brother of John Roberds & my Freeman Roberds.
