My Aunt Zora was born in Hunt County, Texas to John Crittington (J. C.) and Lucy Ellen Scarbrough Hodge.

Sister to my Grandmother, Frances Lillie Mae Hodge Thomas, Etta Genetta Hodge, George Lemuel Hodge, Dora Anna (Aunt Annie) Hodge, and Thomas Newton Hodge.

Aunt Zora married Elmer Bacon, a precious full blood Choctaw Indian in 1912.

They were married until Uncle Elmer's untimely death in October, 1958.

Aunt Zora and my grandmother were very close. They use to do everything together. I use to get tickled at them... crocheting and tatting together and bickering with one another!

Aunt Zora passed away just 13 days after Granny died. It was as if she couldn't live without her sister.
