OBITUARY

The Greenville News (SC) - Saturday, November 24, 2001

TRAVELERS REST, SC - Leota Cisson Capps, 86, of 389 Goodwin Bridge Road, and wife of the late Samuel Thomas Capps, died Friday, Nov. 23, 2001, at Greenville Memorial Medical Center.

Born in Pickens County, she was the daughter of the late Johnny and Sarah Hines Cisson. Mrs. Capps was retired from J. P. Stevens, Slater Plant, and was a member of Saluda Hill Baptist Church.

Surviving are her four children, David Capps of the home, Sylvia Goldsmith of Slater, James Capps and Pat Gilbert, both of Marietta; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by three sisters; four brothers; and a great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at The Howze Mortuary Chapel, with burial at Grand View Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Charles Southerlin, Lance Ledford, Billy Ledford, J. L. Hart, Jerry Lindsey and Cotton Garrett.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. tonight at The Howze Mortuary.

The family will be at 14 Warehouse Drive, Marietta.
