Schuylerville, Oct. 19 - While seated at the supper table last evening at 5:30 o'clock, George Van Wie, an old resident of Thomsons, was seized with an attack of paralysis and died almost immediately. He was aged seventy-six, having been born in this state on October 24, 1840, the son of John Van Wie. Mr. Van Wie was a well known farmer.
Surviving him are his widow; four sons, William of Thomson, Fred of Springfield, Mass., Dow of Schuylerville, and Charles of Albany; two daughters, Mrs. Frank Craw of Glens Falls, and Mrs. James Todd of Thomson, and a sister, Mrs. Margaret Smith of Saratoga Springs.
The funeral will be held on Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Methodist church at Quaker Springs, and burial will be made in the Quaker Springs cemetery.
