Rosary for Rosita M. Vasquez, 72, of Lubbock will be today at 7 p.m. at Calvillo Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Andres Mendoza officiating. Burial will be at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home.

Mrs. Vasquez died Monday July 23, 2007 in Lubbock. She was born on May 9, 1935 in Charlotte, Texas to the late Jacob and Refugia "Cuca" Martinez. She married Jacinto "Chinto" Vasquez in October of 1952 in Lubbock. She moved to Lubbock in 1952 from Charlotte. She was a housewife and a faithful Catholic. She is preceded in death by a daughter Judy DeClerk in 2005.

Survivors include her husband of Lubbock; four sons, David and wife Susan Vasquez of Lubbock, Emilio "Tony" Vasquez of Lubbock, Jacinto "JR" and wife Mary Lou Vasquez of Lubbock, Elias and wife Elizabeth Vasquez of College Station; a daughter Isabel Reyna Vasquez of Lubbock; three brothers Santos Martinez of Lubbock, Lorenzo Martinez of Nixon, and Santiago Martinez of Amarillo; a sister Josie Martinez Esquivel of Bandera; 13 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.
