Mr. Mills was a native of Washington County, son of the late Roy Veasy Mills and Susie Durden Mills McDuffie. He was a veteran of the US Army. A lifelong resident of Milledgeville. Mr. Mills retired in 1982 as Meat Market Manager of A&P grocery store and then operated Lamar Mills Appliance Repair. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church, Washington County.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Blount Mills of Milledgeville; daughters and son-in-laws, Tammy and Bruce Coleman, Lori and Gary Janes all of Milledgeville. two grandchildren, Brandon Janes of Cummings and Kasey Brown of Milledgeville; five great grandchildren.
