Born in Indianapolis on June 16, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Floyd Berry and Gertrude Berry. Her adoptive parents were Eli Thompson and Vina Thompson; they are also deceased. She married John F. Beeson in Indianapolis in 1938; he died in 1978.
She graduated from Tech High School in 1933 and worked as a sales clerk in gift and hobbies for several years.
She was a member of the Advance Community Christian Church and a charter member of the John Knox Presbyterian Church in Indianapolis. She participated in many craft bazaars associated with the church, and was also a member of Eastern Star Chapter Corinthian 456 in Indianapolis. She enjoyed crafts, needlework, crocheting and rubber stamping.
Survivors are a daughter, Elizabeth Ann Owen of Lebanon; granddaughters Kathryn Owen Swigart and Paula A. Owen Zimmerman, both of Lebanon; great-grandchildren Joe Zimmerman, Allison Zimmerman, Molly Zimmerman, Elizabeth Williams, Jami WIlliams and Matthew Swigart, all of Lebanon; and step-grandchildren Melissa Swigart and Rebecca Swigart, both of Colorado. Two sisters and a brother are deceased.
