Conway Clifft, 78, of Paragould, died Wednesday, July 18, 2007, at his home.

He was born July 1, 1929, in Oxford to John and Bessie Clifft.

Mr. Clifft and his wife owned and operated the Debonair Dress Shop for 30 years. He was a member of New Franklin Masonic Lodge No. 350 for 50 years. He was a Christian and charter member of New Haven Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years and five months, Kathryn Clifft of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Denise Clifft; and one daughter, Kathy Gazaway, all of Paragould; one brother, Gerald Clifft of Mountain Home; and a sister, Sybil May of Kennewick, Wash.

He is also survived by two grandsons, Jason Gazaway and his wife Lisa of Paragould and Eric Clifft of Terre Haute, Ind.; a granddaughter, Kristin Gazaway of Little Rock; two great-granddaughters, Drew and Anna Gazaway of Paragould; three sisters-in-law, Inez Helm of Batesville, Louise Warnock of Camden and Sue Brown of Jonesboro; and by many nephews, nieces and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Bessie Clifft; and by two loved brothers-in-law, Jack Warnock and Dick May.

Burial was in Greene County Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

David Clifft, Danny Clifft, James Cure, Jason Gazaway, Eric Clifft and Chris Donaldson served as pallbearers.

Honorary pallbearers were: Homer Price and Kenneth Hamilton.
