Funeral services were held Thursday in Puyallup, Wash., for Mrs. Samuel C. Askew, 70, Puyallup, mother of Charles B. Askew, 404 W. Avenue C, and grandmother of Jack Askew, 1029 Fourth St. Mrs. Askew died in a Seattle Hospital Monday.
Formerly of Casselton and Fargo, Mr. and Mrs. Askew moved to Washington in 1943.
In addition to her husband, she leaves six sons, four daughters, 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Sons are Joseph, Fargo; Clarence, Almeda, Calif,; Harry and Harold of Puyallup; Keith, San Anselmo, Calif.; and Charles of Bismarck.
Daughters are Mrs. William Lind and Mrs. George Kolhammer of Seattle, Mrs. Wallace Grosvenor, San Anselmo, and Mrs. Lester Husdon, Puyallup.
Both Charles and Jack Askew attended the funeral.
