Lifelong Waukon resident David N. Anderson passed away February 17. He was 94. Graveside service for Mr. Anderson was Feb. 21 at the Reardan Cemetery. Mr. Anderson, who lived his entire life in the same home in Waukon, retired from farming in 1966. He was a charter and life member of the Waukon Grange, and also belonged to the Reardan Masonic Lodge and Davenport Odd Fellows. Mr. Anderson is survived by one brother, Norman Anderson of Reardan; one sister, Lavina Swanson of Medical Lake; three nieces, Gladine Mason of Spanaway, Wash., Shirley Zahn of Pasco, and Gladys Henry of Spokane; and one stepson, Ralph Heinemann of Billings, Mont. He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Anderson, in 1973. Ball & Dodd Funeral Home – Cheney was in charge of arrangements. [Davenport Times; 2/27/1997; p.7]
