Maxine was born March 19, 1918 in Lewistown, Montana the daughter of George and Nellie (Coolidge) Reimer. She moved with her family to Centralia, Washington when she was fourteen and later graduated from Centralia High School.
Mrs. Bicknell moved to Lebanon, Oregon in 1953 where she has resided since. She chose to be a homemaker and an at home mom while raising her daughter. She began working outside the home in 1960 when she took a job as an admittance clerk at the Lebanon Community Hospital. In 1961, she began working at the Park Street Medical Clinic as an insurance clerk. She continued working at Park Street Clinic until retiring in 1972.
Maxine married Burl Bicknell in Centralia, Washington on December 31, 1941.
Mrs. Bicknell was a long time member of the Lebanon First United Methodist Church, S.A.L.T. (Seniors and Law Enforcement Together) and AARP. She enjoyed crocheting and donating lap robes to many people in local nursing homes and volunteered at the Lebanon Senior Center for many years. She was also known for her divinity which she loved to share with friends.
Maxine is survived by a daughter, Judy and her husband Darrell Karpinski of Loveland, Colorado.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Burl Bicknell on September 16, 1996. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Donald Reimer.
