FORMER RESIDENT DIES
John T. Waters, age 75 years, a former Pittsboro resident, died at his home in Indianapolis, Saturday morning, of a heart attack. He was born in Pittsboro, son of Isaac and Elizabeth Waters. He was associated with his father in the Furniture and Undertaking business here several years. About thirty years ago he sold the business, and moved to Indianapolis, where he was employed at L.S. Ayres for thirteen years. Ill health forced him to retire from this work. He was married to Flo Phillips, and they were the parents of one daughter, Mrs. Charles Oliver, of Pittsboro, who survives with the widow, a grandson, Pvt. John Oliver of Miami Beach, Fla., and one brother S.S. Waters, of Indianapolis. The funeral was held Monday at the home in charge of Rev. J.W. Barkley, burial at Brownsburg. Final rites were in charge of the Masonic Lodge.
