On October 10, 1889 as Lillie M. Laub, she married Carl F. Kuehnle at Crawford County, Iowa.
One of her nieces remembers Aunt Lillie as a very elegant woman who in the 1930s had her own chauffer and automobile in the small town of Denison, Iowa.
Her niece loved going to visit her Aunt as she always had cookies fresh from the oven for young visitors.
