She was the daughter of Henry C. Laub and Lydia Baer Laub.
On October 10, 1889 as Lillie M. Laub, she married Carl F. Kuehnle at Crawford County, Iowa.
One of her nieces remembers Aunt Lillie as a very elegant woman who in the 1930s had her own chauffer and automobile in the small town of Denison, Iowa.
Her niece loved going to visit her Aunt as she always had cookies fresh from the oven for young visitors.

Mrs. Carl Kuehnle Died January 22
in Son's Home
Mrs. C.F. Kuehnle Sr., nee Lillie Laub, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H.C. Laub, pioneer residents of Denison, Iowa, passed away at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. C.F. Kuehnle, of Winnetka on Monday, January 22. Funeral services are being held at the Kuehnle home in Winnetka this Thursday afternoon at 4 o'clock in charge of Dean Rowland Philbrook of Trinity Cathedral, Episcopal Diocese, Davenport, Iowa. Pallbearers will be Comdr. John Ashby, Dr. Clifford Barborka (Professor of Gastroenterology at Northwestern University School of Medicine), Jeos Hawley, George McHenery, Dr. Guy Skinner, Alan Sims, Dr. James Turner and Eugene Voss of Chicago. Interment will be made in Memorial Park Cemetery, beside Mr. Kuehnle, who passed away April 26, 1938. Survivors include the two children, C.F. Kuehnle and Lydia Belle, Mrs. E.A. Howard of Chicago and other relatives and friends. Mrs. Kuehnle had spent her entire life in Denison until going to Winnetka to make her home several years ago.
