Willie H. (Bill) Annett of Chicota died at St. Joseph's Hospital at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 9. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Dec. 11, at the Forest Chapel United Methodist Church with the Rev. Harvey Brown and the Rev. Billy Stephens officiating. Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home made burial in Forest Chapel Cemetery. Mr. Annett was born March 28, 1901 in Indian Territory, Oklahoma, a son of William Perry Annett and Bertha Massey Annett. He attended Grant, OK. schools and married Ida Lee Wigley on Feb. 24, 1920. They lived in Oklahoma until 1926 when they moved to Chicota. He was a former employee of County Commissioner of Precinct 3. He was a Methodist. Surviving are his wife; three sons, Edward E. Annett and Cleburn Annett, both of Plainview and Edgar D. Annett of Chicota; five daughters, Florence Draper of Powderly, Betty Morgan of Blue Ridge, Martha Hamman of Mesquite, Billie Ruth Hickman of Borger and Ida Jean Dodd of Comanche; 14 grandchildren and 12 gr. grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Bertha Kinswoman of Chicota, Mrs. Elsie Chadwick of Chicota and Mrs. Opal Hardy of Houston.
