Howard R. Annett, 54, who lived at 105 E. Center St., died Tuesday about 5:30 p.m. at St. Joseph's Hospital of an apparent heart attack, having been in ill health several months. He was formerly an automotive mechanic. The funeral, Thursday at 3:30 p.m., will be held in the Baptist Church at Chicota where he was a member, the body to lie there for an hour before the service time. The Rev. L. E. Dicken will officiate, burial in nearby Forest Chapel Cemetery to be made by Fry & Gibbs of Paris. Howard Annett, son of W. P. and Bertha (Massey) Annett, was born in Hugo, Okla., aug. 28, 1911, and married Miss Juanita Townsend, June 26, 1926. His wife survives, besides two sons, Charles Howard Annett, Ozona, and Robert Donald Annett, Dallas; six grandchildren; also these brothers and sisters; Marvin Annett, Dallas; W. H. (Bill) Annett, Mrs. Lee Chadwick, Mrs. Jack Kinworthy and Mrs. George Brown, all of Chicota; Mrs. Mack Hardy, Houston, and Mrs. Bob Armstrong, Brookston.' *Tombstone is inscribed, 'WW II Infantry.

Enlisted in US Army 12 Nov 1943; discharged 16 Nov 1944. Served in Military Police Detachment.
