Kate Biddix Beaver
Kate Biddix Beaver, 71, of Hickory, went home to be with the Lord on July 1, 2007, at her residence.
Born Jan. 20, 1936, in Mitchell County, she was the daughter of the late Willard H. and Rissie Hensley Biddix.
In addition to her parents, her brothers, Willard Biddix Jr., William Biddix and Charlie Biddix, and sisters, Mabel Biddix and Melda Hawley, preceded in her death.
Survivors include her husband, Vance Oliver Beaver of the home; a son, Phillip Beaver and wife, Mary, of Hildebran; two daughters, Grace Brock and husband, John, of Connelly Springs, and Julie Killian and husband, Shane, of Hickory; two brothers, Carl Biddix of Hickory and Gene Biddix of Washington, N.C.; a sister, Phoebe Tipton of Marion; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
The Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 5, 2007, at Catawba Funeral Home, with Pastor Terry Ritchie officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 4, 2007, at Catawba Funeral Home and at the Beaver residence. Online condolences may be left at www.catawbamemorialpark.com.
