Sefulu Avau Afualo 1954 ~ 2007 Sefulu Avau Afualo, 53, passed away June 27 2007 in Salt Lake City. Her family was able to be by her side during her final moments. She was born January 31, 1954 in Asau, Savaii, Western Samoa to Faletamasoali'i Safiu and Tupai Avau Fao. She married Toa Afualo March 30, 1974, later sealed in the Laie Hawaii LDS Temple March 29, 1984. Survived by husband; and their children, Jarvis (Kanoe), Salt Lake City, Danny (Melanie), Kaneohe, Hawaii, Tammy, Orem, and Waldemar, Salt Lake City; three grandchildren, Mason, Maya, and Sarah Koa. Sefulu was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother who devoted her life to them. She was a dedicated military wife who supported her husband during several deployments and ultimately a successful retirement. Sefulu was actively involved in various church callings and found happiness in helping those around her. Funeral services for Sefulu will be held Tuesday, July 3, 2007 at 10 a.m. in the Taylorsville 25th Ward chapel, 4505 South 3420 West. Family and friends may attend viewings Monday, July 2, 2007 at McDougal Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m. or Tuesday, July 3, 2007 at the Taylorsville 25th Ward chapel from 9-9:45 a.m. Interment, Utah Veterans Memorial Park.
