Bernadita Alderete passed away Thursday, June 28, 2007. Bernadita was born in Tome, NM on August 3, 1925 and was a lifelong resident of Albuquerque. Bernadita was a beautiful, peaceful, caring and wonderful person. She will be remembered just that way. Everyone loved her. Bernadita was preceded in death by her first husband, Manuel Alderete; son, Manuel Alderete Sr., mother, Mercedes Sanchez Romero; father, Maximallo Romero; sister, Ida Romero; brothers, Boleslo Romero, Jose Romero, Paul Romero, Fred Romero and Manuel Romero. She is survived by her husband, Tony Aragon and her loving children, Mercy and husband, William Harrington, Anna and John Lattanza, Gloria and husband, Dennis Romero, Mel Alderete, Bernice and husband, Fredd Gutierrez, Jeanell and husband, Clemente Gomez, Carolyn and husband, Manuel Alderete and Johnny Alderete. A Viewing and Mass will take place at Church of the Ascension, 2150 Raymac Rd. NW, on Saturday, June 30, 2007. The Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m., with the Mass of Christian Burial being celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will then take place at Pajarito Cemetery off of Coors and Pajarito Rd. SW.
