Baker Services

Funeral services for Raleigh Baker, 62, Peru R. R. 1, will be 1:30 p.m., Thursday in the Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home with the Rev. John Lough officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home at any time.

Mr. Baker died at 11:10 p.m. Monday in the Indiana University Medical Center, Indianapolis, after a one-year illness.

He was born Feb. 8, 1908 in Hyden, Kentucky, the son of William and Ella Jane Baker. He was married to Susan Lewis in 1927, and she survives

Other survivors are four sons, Walter, William, and Rodrick Baker, all of Peru, James Baker, Chicago; two daughters, Mrs. Larry Hudson and Mrs. Herman Butzin Jr., both of Peru; three brothers, Dow Baker, Angola; Taylor and Monroe Baker, both of Leslie County, Kentucky; one sister, Mrs. Martha Gase, Peru and eight grandchildren.

He had lived in Peru 30 years, moving here from London, Kentucky. He was a retired farmer.
