He was a regular member of the Stratford Festival and performed in such stage productions as "Long Day's Journey Into Night", "A Man For All Seasons", "King Lear" and "The Tempest", and on Broadway in "Tiny Alice" and "Saint Joan". His notable film credits include "The Fixer" (1968), "The Wars" (1983), "Covergirls" (1985) and "The Statement" (2003). He also had a recurring role in the Canadian television series, "Slings and Arrows".
