Mrs. Margaret Bennett, wife of Henry Bennett, cashier of the Canonsburg bank, limited, died at the family residence in Allegheny City, on Saturday, January 18. Pneumonia was the disease that caused her death, and she was sick but a few days. Mrs. Bennett was aged about 68 years. Mrs. Bennett was a consistent member of the Second U. P. church, Allegheny. The deceased was a sister of Mr. William Caldwell and of Mrs. Thomas D. Weaver, this place. The remains were brought to this place on the 11 A. M. train on Monday. Funeral services were conducted at the house of William Caldwell by Dr. J. S. Speer and Rev. W. B. Smiley, at the conclusion of which the interment took place at the Speer Spring cemetery.
