Mae passed away peacefully at home at Alki where she has lived since 1941. Her loving husband of 57 years, Jim, died in 1996, infant great granddaughter, Nicole, in 1984 and she was preceded in death by her sister, Norma, and her brothers, George and Ted.

Her family includes daughters Norma, (Rod) and Marlene, brothers Roy and Howard DeBritz, sister Eleanor Schaefer, 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Mae loved her family, her friends and her place at Hood Canal. Swimming was her favorite pastime; she spent most of her life close to the water. She was born on Orcas Island and grew up in Seattle near Lake Washington.

We will miss her terrific sense of humor, her zest for life and her generous spirit. Services will be held at BONNEY-WATSON Washington Memorial Park, 16445 International Blvd., Seatac, WA (206) 242-1787 on Saturday, May 19th at 10:00 am. Memorials may be made to Children's Hospital.
