James C. Wisner

James Cumberland Wisner, 88, of 601-A Pauline St., Pocahontas, died Jan. 28, 1996, in Randolph County Nursing Home.

He was born Aug. 8, 1907, in Reyno, a son of the late James and Mary Robinson Wisner. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Alyus Going Wisner; three broth­ers; and five sisters.

While living in Memphis, he was a member and a deacon in Bellevue Baptist Church, a member of De Soto Lodge #299, the Scottish Rite, and a Shriner. He moved back to Pocahontas in 1989.

He is survived by his wife, Pauline Pratt Wisner of the home; one stepson, Bruce Pratt, of Atlanta, Ga.; and one stepdaughter, Sheri Pratt Carpenter, of Little Rock.

Funeral services were Wednes­day, Jan.31, in the Chapel of McNabb Funeral Home with Rev. Don Strait officiating. Interment was in Masonic Cemetery.

Pallbearers were McDowell Simington, Hugh Hightower, Eugene Thorpe, Mike Taylor, Archie Chesser and Robert Tindle.
