Mrs. Oscar S. Baird, Sr., (Ella Denison Baird), 77, passed away Sunday at 2 p.m. at her home in Pittsburg, near Delphi.
She was born in New York state and moved to Michigan with her parents as a child. In 1886 she came to Clinton county where she lived until 26 years ago, when the family moved to Pittsburg. She was a member of the Farmer Chapel U.B. Church, near Frankfort.
She is survived by her husband O. S. Baird Sr., who formerly was a county superintendent of Clinton county schools, and six children; Mrs. George Blinn of Frankfort, Mrs. Ralph Zerfas of Lafayette, Mrs. Roy L. Gilpin of Kokomo, Oscar S. Baird Jr., of Yeoman, Byron B. Baird of Detroit and Merton N. Baird of Delphi. Fifteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Mrs Gertrude Salmon of Frankfort is a niece and Irvin Denison, a nephew.
Funeral services will be held at Farmer Chapel church Wednesday at 10:30. Burial will be made at the Bunnell Cemetery.
