BOISE CITY, Okla. - Larry Morris, 86, died Friday, Jan. 9, 1998.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Llano Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel in Amarillo, Texas, with the Rev. Derek Cox, pastor of First Baptist Church in Boise City, officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle.

Mr. Morris was born in Oklahoma and had been a resident of Boise City for 38 years. He retired as lab and X-ray technician from Cimarron Hospital. He received the Outstanding Lab Technician award in the mid-1970's. He was a licensed practical nurse.

Mr. Morris was a veteran in the Amarillo National Guard during World War II. He was a longtime member of Bible Baptist Church in Elkhart, Kan., a member of First Baptist Church and Lion's Club in Boise City, and a Boy Scout leader.

He married Alice Ponder in 1932 at Clovis,N.M. He was preceded in death by a son, Robert Kenneth Morris, in 1947.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Larry Morris of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; two daughters, Barbara Ann Ernest of Denver and Patricia Jeanine Shelby of Jacksonville, Ark.; 12 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
