Mr. Alexander was born on Nov. 10, 1932 in Neelyville. A lifelong resident of Butler County, he had lived the past five years in Poplar Bluff. He was a sawmill operator and a member of the Church of God. He enjoyed visiting with friends and watching television.
Survivors include two nieces, Wanda Sells of Poplar Bluff and Carolyn Dillinger of Fairdealing; a brother, Jessie Alexander of Poplar Bluff and several great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Billy Alexander; two sisters, Edna Franks and Edith Warren; and his parents, John H. and Mary Cook Lambert Alexander.
