She is survived by three sons, John Parnell, Jr. and wife Edna, Gary Parnell and Wendell Parnell; two sisters, Adrina "Buttercup" Rushing and husband James Sr. and Barbara Osborne and husband Bishop; a brother, Jesse C. "Fuzzy" Ferguson and wife Catherine; three grandchildren, Corey Parnell, Clint Parnell, and Tad and wife Megan Parnell; and two great-grandchildren, Madeline Parnell and Ty Parnell.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Nina Newsom Ferguson; and husband, John V. Parnell, Sr.
Pallbearers will be Corey Parnell, Clint Parnell, Tad Parnell, Cecil Rushing, Chad Robertson, Murray Rushing, Michael Ferguson and Brett Ferguson. Honorary pallbearer is Wendell Parnell.
She loved flowers and gardening. Special thanks to Dr. Leo P. Blaze III and Dr. Daniel T. Fontenot and staff at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center.
