Funeral services for Mrs. Mary F. Harlan Haynes, age 56 of Calhoun, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 5, 2007 at Temple Baptist Church in Ruston with the Rev. "Skip" Dean and the Rev. Dale Oden officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in Ruston under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston.

Mrs. Haynes was born Oct. 30, 1950 in Ruston. She died June 1, 2007 in Ruston. She was a former member of Temple Baptist Church where she was baptized and was currently a member of Highland Baptist Church in West Monroe. She was a homemaker and a proud grandmother who loved her grandchildren. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading books and traveling with her husband across the country. Mrs. Haynes was also a member of the VFW Auxiliary.

Mrs. Haynes is survived by her husband of nearly 32 years, Fred Haynes; her children, Polly Humble and husband Seth of West Monroe, Georgianna Oliveaux of Calhoun, and Jim Haynes of Calhoun; her two grandsons, Nicholas Hattaway and Timothy Oliveaux; her parents Lescar and Mary Alice Causey Harlan of Ruston; her brother "Tinker" Harlan and wife Kim of Arlington, Texas; one sister, Becky Strozier and husband John of Calhoun; as well as numerous nephews and one niece. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter Amber N. Haynes, her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. R.E. "Ned" Causey, and her mother-in-law Laverne W. Glass.
