HAZELWOOD Nellie N. Ball passed away on 10-11-2000. She was born in St. Louis, Missouri on June 27, 1897 to George Thomas & Sarah Etta Baker Ball. she is the last of 9 children. She was a long standing member of Eastern Star for over 50 years. She and her husband owned Dawsons Restaurant in the 1930's and 1940's on 24th and S. Robinson. She is survived by 2 grandchildren Beverly Robertson of Cookson, Ok. and Doyle E. Dawson, Jr. of Van Buren, Ar.; 6 great grandchildren Buddy Shilling of Yukon, Ok., Dale Shilling of Palm Beach, Fl., Steve Robertson of Pryor, Susan Robertson of Stillwater, Ok., Tammy Sanders of Santa Rosa, Ca. and Kevin Dawson of Atlanta, Ga.; 5 great-great grandsons and 3 great-great granddaughters. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Doyle E. Dawson, and granddaughter Patricia Shilling. Funeral Services will be conducted at the Chapel Hill Funeral Home at 8701 NW Expressway on Friday, October 13, 2000, at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will be held at Capitol Hill Funeral Home on Thursday from 9 a.m.-9 p.m. CAPITOL HILL, 2801 S. Robinson, 235-5451.
