Thomas Enright (of the Enright Shoe Store) is the oldest son of Michael Enright and Catherine Normile.

Thomas Enright immigrated from Glin, County Limerick, Ireland, about 1847.

We first see Thomas and his brother Michael Enright in the 1850 Census in Pittsfield, Massachusetts.

On 17 February 1852 Thomas Enright married Catherine Goggins.

In 1860 Thomas Enright and wife Catherine Goggins were on the same Census page as his brothers, Michael and John Enright.

Unfortunately Thomas and Catherine Goggins Enright lost several children, namely:
Michael (died age 1),
Catherine (died age 7 years in Feb. 1865),
Anna (died age 5 years in Feb. 1865),
Thomas E.(died age 5 months),
Catherine Gertrude (died age 10 years).

Of their 3 surviving children:
Ellen A. Enright (1853-1939)lived to her 80s, unmarried.

James J. Enright (1869-1937) never married and was the co-inheritor of his father's shoe store on North Street in Pittsfield. The other co-inheritor of the shoe store was cousin John Henry Enright (my grandfather).

Maria T. Enright (1865-1949) married James H. Tobin. They had one son, James Vincent Tobin, who had one son, Richard L. Tobin. Unfortunately Richard L. Tobin died at age 15 (possibly in the Bronx, New York).
