LeRoy C. Brys, age 83, passed away on Thursday, June 7, 2007, at the University Hospital in Madison. LeRoy was born on Aug. 19, 1923, in Mosinee, the son of Charles and Margaret (Spangenburg) Brys.
He worked as an engineer for Wisconsin Supply in Madison and Rundle-Spence in Madison. LeRoy married Beverly Mae Grueneberg in Wausau, who preceded him in death in 1988. He then was married to Benay Loy on Aug. 12, 1995, in Monona. LeRoy was a World War II Navy veteran.
He loved fishing and hunting and was a Packers and Badgers fan. LeRoy was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, B.P.O.E. Lodge No. 675 of Portage, C.W. Henny Knights of Columbus Council, American Legion Post. No. 47 of Portage and V.F.W. Post No. 7591 of Madison.
