Born on Howard's and Porter's Range in Anne Arundel Co. MD, to Henry III and Mary Sewell. He Married Christian Stover in MD had 9 children. She died at Canon Mills on their estate not long after migrating. Samuel again married to Elizabeth Baker, they had 4 children. They migrated with Bakers to Rowen Co. NC before the Revolutionary War.

They lived at Cannon Mills, near Enochville
on the Buffalo Creek, which is present day north side of Kannapolis, Rowen, NC. It's like a park.

Both Samuel, Christiana, and Elizabeth said to be buried unmarked in Baker Cemetery north side across road from what was Paradise Tanning, Baker cemetery but now known as Kannapolis City Cemetery.

A large stone like native stands where they are buried towards the NE corner of the cemetery. Very old area.
Had a great trip to NC.
